✈️ A woman approached me at the airport with a big smile and said,
"Are you who I think you are!?!?"
Lisa said, “Yep!” (I had been recognized in public by a Burning Man participant the day before.)
At the same time, I lifted my eyebrows and said, “Are you into Burning Man?” (But I’m not sure she heard me.)
I introduced myself as Halcyon and gave her a long hug.
I talked to her family for a bit and she took a picture of me with her kids.
As I was walking away, she said, “I love you and appreciate so much what you do for kids and books!”
Oh no...
Who did she think I was?!!
30 awkward minutes later, Facebook friends solved the mystery: children’s book Author, Mo Willems!!!!!
Whoops! Sorry, Mo. I didn’t mean to unintentionally steal your praise. But I’m certainly flattered by the comparison!

A few years ago, people used to say I looked like Scott Weiland or Chester Bennington. Rest In Peace to both those extraordinary men.
It makes me even more grateful to still be alive… & able to enjoy the privilege of going grey.
